PUNKX FESTIVAL

MUTOID WASTE COMPANY

The project is to create an installation where the history of MUTOID WASTE COMPANY since they exist.

A big installation made out of tyres, project videos mapped into the wholes to tell the story of the punks movement and Joe Rush's company.

From animation to Joe Rush's videos, this installation give an other dimention to the story telling and all the material I use remember the story of this company.

(video comming soon)

I created DIY sits and tables to go with the installation and for poeple to enjoy a relaxing moment during the event.

The Mutoid Waste Company are amongst the most important and influential counter culture movements ever created. Still alive and kicking after 25 years thanks to the continued stewardship of Joe Rush, their apocalyptic vision, born from the chaos of rejected military and industrial scrap metal, laid foundation stones for rave, warehouse and festival culture and brought inspiration to Glastonbury Festival, Damien Hirst and not least Mutate Britain.

Scroll down for a taste of this epic tale which is yet to be properly told – and if you have your own piece of the story to add then don’t let it crumble, we want to know about it!
